THREE HOSPITALIZED AFTER FRIDAY CRASH

Monday, February 27th, 2006 -- 12:25 PM

Luckily, it appears all three of the vehicle?s occupants will be alright after their car went into the ditch south of Neillsville.

28-year-old Zackery Russell overcorrected after driving onto the shoulder of Hwy 95 and striking a mailbox. The vehicle then crossed the road, entering a ditch and striking some trees, according to the accident report.

The Neillsville Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to free two of the vehicle?s occupants. Both were airlifted to St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield with incapacitating injuries ? but both are out of Intensive Care and are expected to recover.

A third female passenger was taken by ambulance to Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

The report says Russell was driving with a suspended license and none of the vehicle?s occupants were wearing their seatbelt.
