Two Neillsville men were arrested this past week for allegedly robbing a woman in Stevens Point.

18-year-old Lance Poeschel (PAY-shuhl) is being held on $10,000 cash bond on charges of robbery, theft and criminal damage for his role in the crime. 20-year-old Timothy King, is being held on 5,000 cash bond for party to the crime of robbery, theft and criminal damage.

The two were arrested Wednesday after reportedly stealing the purse of a 32-year-old Plover woman in a city parking lot.

The Stevens Point Journal reports Poeschel allegedly pushed the woman to the ground causing her to strike her head on the pavement. He then tried to grab her purse, dragging her through the parking lot before the strap broke. Fifty cents and a pack of gum were taken. Police said the alleged robbers were in town attending a court proceeding of an acquaintance.
