Trial For Former Marshfield Police Chief On Hold

Court records indicate trial of former Marshfield Police Chief Rick Gramza is off for now.

WSAU reports that with little explanation the December 15th through 17th trial was removed from the Wood County court docket and replaced with a telephone conference for early January.

Gramza has been facing a misdemeanor count of fourth degree sexual assault for allegedly making unwanted sexual advances towards a female co worker. The accusations led to his suspension in 2020 and ultimately a separation agreement with the city last spring.

The city still hasn't hired a new Chief.
