More Numbers Will Soon Be Needed to Make Calls in Wisconsin

(Terry Bell, WRN) You’ll soon have to dial more numbers to make a call in Wisconsin.

The change won’t mean too much for people who use cell phones, but anyone using a landline will need to start adding the area code to all calls on the 24th, whether local or long distance.

The aim is to push people to use the area code for all calls so the Federal Communications Commission can assign more numbers to new phones.
