Natural Resources Board Cancels Meeting

(Raymond Neupert, WRN) The state's Natural Resources Board has canceled a meeting for the first time in over 20 years.

The Board, currently led by former board member Dr. Fred Prehn who has refused to step down, did not receive any agenda items from the Department of Natural Resources for this month's scheduled meeting.

Prehn says that's in retaliation for his refusal to step down from the board, but the Department told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that there was simply nothing to discuss this month. A lawsuit to force Prehn from the board is currently working its way through Dane County court.
