The Neillsville School Board held a regular and the Annual School Board Meeting Monday evening.

During the regular School Board Meeting, they approved updates to the handbooks, approved employment matters, approved a donation of 5 mats from Zion Lutheran Church, and heard the Administrator’s Report from District Administrator John Gaier.

The Board also heard an update on the facilities and grounds projects. Currently, the Middle School roof replacement is ongoing as is work with the dust collector and booth replacement in the shop.

Mr. Gaier also provided a list of projects the district would like to complete over the next 3 years. During the Annual Meeting, the Board approved the salaries for the Board, which will remain the same, and authorized reimbursement for per diem and expenses.

The Board also approved the sale of unused or out-dated supplies and equipment, approved temporary borrowing for cash flow (which the District hasn’t had to do), and set the date for next year’s Annual Meeting.

The Board also approved the tax levy of $4,074,212, which is an increase over last year’s $3,741,475.
