City of Marshfield Still Without a Mayor

(Bob Hague, WRN) -The City of Marshfield remains without a Mayor after Bob McManus was removed from office earlier this year.

City Administrator Steve Barg says potential candidates can start circulating petitions in December. "So, what we're looking at is people filing, as of December 1st, for the position of mayor and, not having an incumbant, I suspect we might see a few candidates."

"It's not that far until December 1st and 90 days goes by pretty quickly, so it may be competitive and, I think, that may be a good idea."

City Council President Nick Poeschel has been carrying out basic duties of Mayor since McManus was removed from office in March. After the  Common Council found he deleted text messages and lied about it.
