Marshfield K9 Officer Retires

On July 8th, Steffi retired from the Marshfield Police Department K9 program.

Steffi began her service to the residents of the city of Marshfield in November of 2015 and served the city for over five and a half years. Steffi has logged more than 1186 of training hours and has had 487 deployments resulting in approximately 124 drug arrests.

Additionally, she has assisted with taking approximately 12 other individuals into custody for various offences. In 2019, K9 Steffi received the Meritorious Tracking Award from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handlers Association.

Steffi tracked a double homicide suspect to a stolen vehicle which was crucial information that ultimately led to the arrest of that suspect. K9 Steffi will retire and live with Officer Hasz and his family.

The Marshfield Police Department thanks Officer Hasz and K9 Steffi for their service to the citizens of Marshfield.
