Funds Available for Wisconsin Renters

(Terry Bell, WRN) Millions of dollars remain available to help Wisconsin renters avoid eviction.

In Milwaukee, the Social Development Commission says it’s helped about 85-hundred families so far. The federal government has given Wisconsin almost 700-million dollars, with a big chunk of it going to Madison and Milwaukee.

Officials estimate there are about 445-million dollars in the bank for people who fill out applications. Those who qualify can get as much as 15 months of help with their rent.
