Milwaukee May Get a Chance at Democratic National Convention Again

(Bob Hague, WRN) Milwaukee has another chance to host the Democratic National Convention

A letter sent late last week by Democratic National Committee Chair Jamie Harrison invites 20 cities, including Milwaukee, to participate in the bid process for the 2024 convention. Cities interested in submitting a bid were asked to contact Harrison in writing by October 1.

The Milwaukee Host Committee raised more than 42 million dollars for the 2020 convention, which in the midst of the pandemic had a greatly reduced footprint. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris ended up accepting their party's nomination in his home state of Delaware.
