Clark County Unofficial November 3rd Election Results, Counting of Ballots Continues in the State and Around the Nation

-Taking a look at the Clark County 2020 Unofficial November 3rd Election Results as well as some state and national results.

For Clark County, Republican President Donald Trump received 10,001 votes to Democrat Joe Biden’s 4,520. At this point in the morning, results are still coming in from Wisconsin as the record breaking number of absentee votes are counted. Currently, Joe Biden has a slight lead in Wisconsin with 1,585,171 votes to Donald Trump's 1,577,999 votes. As things stand around the nation, Joe Biden is ahead in Electoral Votes, 225 to Donald Trump’s 213. Several battleground states are continuing to count their votes this morning. As election officials and political experts have said, it could be days before the votes are completely counted. We will keep you updated as the day progresses.

Looking closer to home, for the 7th Congressional District in Clark County, Republican Tom Tiffany received 9,965 votes to Democrat Tricia Zunker’s 4,671. For the state, Tiffany received 251,998 votes to Zunker’s 162,724. For the 68th Assembly District in Clark County, Republican Jesse James received 2,906 to Democrat Emily Berge’s 1,264. For the state, James received 19,003 votes to Berge’s 12,161. For the 69th Assembly District in Clark County, Republican Donna Rozar received 7,032 to Democrat Brian Giles’ 3,035. For the state, Rozar received 18,567 votes to Giles’ 9,603. For the 87th Assembly District, which the Town of Thorp is the only Clark County municipality that votes in that election, Republican James Edming received 242 votes to Democrat Richard Pulcher’s 88 votes. For the state, Edming received 21,569 votes to Pulcher’s 8,883 votes.

Several county positions were up for re-election this year, but they were running unopposed. Democrat Melissa Inlow received 9,317 votes for District attorney, Republican Christina Jensen received 12,833 votes for County Clerk, Republican Renee Schoen received 12,728 votes for County Treasurer and Republican Mary Denk received 12,693 for Register of Deeds. For the Owen-Withee School District’s Referendum, it passed with 869 voting yes and 697 voting no. For the Clark County municipalities voting in the Marshfield School District Referendum, they approved it 226 yes to 207 no and the referendum passed overall with 8,818 voting yes and 6,376 voting no. For the Clark County municipalities voting in the Black River Falls School District’s Referendum, 12 voted yes and 16 voted no. However, the referendum did pass with 3,682 voting yes and 2,160 voting no overall.

Voting went smoothly in Clark County. However, the final results did come in a bit later than usual. The City of Thorp was only allowing two people into the polls at a time. When polls closed at 8pm, they had a line a half a block long and hadn't processed their absentee ballots. By 10:45pm, they were still processing absentee ballots. Clark County’s final results came in around midnight.
