Coronavirus Numbers for October 17th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has seen a total of 1,590,569 negative cases, 166,186 positive cases (an increase of 3,861 over the previous day) and 1,574 deaths, an increase of 21 over the previous day. Of the positive cases, 9,027, or 5%, have been hospitalized. In total, Clark County has seen 625 positive cases and 6,363 negative. For our neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 1,017 positive and 16,871 negative, Eau Claire has seen 2,558 positive and 26,793 negative and Jackson has seen 256 positive and 6,941 negative.
Also, in total, Wood has seen 1,254 positive and 17,204 negative, Marathon has seen 3,165 positive and 23,479 negative and Taylor has seen 334 positive and 3,360 negative. Clark County has had 11 people die from the virus; Marathon has had 32 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 9 people die from the virus; Wood has had 9 people die from the virus, Taylor has had 6 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 2 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
