Coronavirus Numbers for October 16th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has seen a total of 1,579,844 negative cases, 162,325 positive cases (an increase of 3,747 over the previous day) and 1,553 deaths, an increase of 17 over the previous day. Of the positive cases, 8,892, or 5%, have been hospitalized. In total, Clark County has seen 603 positive cases and 6,303 negative. For our neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 959 positive and 16,759 negative, Eau Claire has seen 2,508 positive and 26,463 negative and Jackson has seen 247 positive and 6,901 negative.
Also, in total, Wood has seen 1,226 positive and 17,039 negative, Marathon has seen 3,016 positive and 22,986 negative and Taylor has seen 324 positive and 3,337 negative. Clark County has had 9 people die from the virus; Marathon has had 31 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 9 people die from the virus; Wood has had 9 people die from the virus, Taylor has had 6 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 2 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
