Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

Elementary Principal Joe Green provided an update regarding online learning at the elementary school. The online learning is addressing virtual learners and students unable to attend due to quarantine. Also, the walking program for students during recess is again in progress and a STEM Camp for girls conducted by CESA 10 was hosted by Mr. Werner and Mrs. Green on October 10th. Finally, ARC professional development continues and Parent-Teacher conferences will be conducted by phone or Google Meet over the next two weeks. District Administrator Todd Felhofer provided a political potpourri update including one legal challenge, to the Governor’s mask order, was dismissed on Monday 10/12.

Also, there is a bill introduced by Democrats in the State Legislature to address several issues related to the impact of COVID-19 including membership counts, transportation aid, flexibility with utilizing Fund 46 funds, state testing and report cards. He also stated district membership is down 10 students, Homecoming Week was a success and Crystal Apple Teacher Awards kicked-off on October 6th. Also, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be conducted via phone and email during a 2 week period from 10/12-10/23. Finally, the Summer Food Service Plan providing free breakfast and lunch for all students has been extended through June 30, 2021.
