Average Price Wisconsin Farmers Received for Corn in August

The average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin during was $3.02 per bushel.

According to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, that was three-cents less than July's price and 87-cents below the previous August. Soybean prices were $8.57 per bushel, up 21-cents for the month and 32-cents higher for the year. The oat price was $2.50 per bushel, down 31-cents from July and 53-cents below last August. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $150.00 per ton, unchanged from July, but down $21.00 from 2019.

The alfalfa hay price averaged $164.00 per ton, up $1.00 for the month, but $28.00 below last year. And the other hay price averaged $112.00, down $7.00 from July, but unchanged from the August 2019 price. (Wisconsin Ag Connection)
