Police Arrest 29-Year-Old After High Speed Chase in Marshfield

(Marshfield News Herald) -Police arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with a high-speed chase Sunday morning.An officer spotted a vehicle around 10:45 a.m. that was involved in a recent chase with Wisconsin Rapids police near East Veterans Parkway and Heritage Drive, according to Marshfield police. Officials said officers tried to stop the vehicle, and a chase ensued for about 8 miles through Marshfield that reached speeds more than 100 mph.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle several times and deployed tire strips to disable the vehicle. Officials said officers arrested a 29-year-old man without further incident with help from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
