Coronavirus Numbers for September 5th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has seen a total of 1,226,793 negative cases, 81,760 positive cases (an increase of 567 over the previous day) and 1,168 deaths. Of the positive cases, 6,089, or 7%, have been hospitalized. In total, Clark County has seen 263 positive cases and 4,549 negative. For our neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 382 positive and 12,585 negative, Eau Claire has seen 977 positive and 19,101 negative and Jackson has seen 78 positive and 5,955 negative.
Also, in total, Wood has seen 530 positive and 12,389 negative, Marathon has seen 827 positive and 18,201 negative and Taylor has seen 126 positive and 2,402 negative. Clark County has had 8 people die from the virus; Marathon has had 14 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 6 people die from the virus; Taylor and Wood have had 3 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
