Neillsville School Board Approves Transportation Costs

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020 -- 11:26 AM

-The Neillsville School Board approved the transportation costs for the next school year.

The amount is $16.30 for hourly driver costs for the next school year. The number is based on expenses from prior year and gas prices. The board also approved releasing the Class of 2020’s remaining funds. The board also reviewed and approved the Seclusion and Restraint Report for the previous school year. This must be done by the board each year. The board had 15 incidents where seclusion and/or restraint were needed. The board also reviewed and approved the Safety Drill Report. The drills are normally done monthly, but due to the coronavirus and the earlier closure of schools last year, they weren’t able to get all of the drills in. The drills include fire drills, lockdowns, etc.

The board also approved the Shared Space Agreement for counselors with Clark County Community Services and Children’s Wisconsin. The board also approved some changes in regards to the Emergency Response Handbook and Athletic Handbook. The board also approved an early graduation request. Finally, the board approved several donations including safety dividers from Sonny Opelt, clear face masks for the special need program from Autumn and Jim Marshal, boxes of small masks from MMC-Neillsville an theater costumes from Julie and Daryl Ortman.
