Coronavirus Numbers for August 28th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 1,148,494 negative cases, 73,138 positive cases (an increase of 878 over yesterday) and 1,111 deaths, an increase of 11 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 5,684, or 7%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 242 positive cases and 4,261 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 323 positive and 11,824 negative, Eau Claire has 768 positive and 17,453 negative and Jackson has 74 positive and 5,824 negative.
Also, Wood has 431 positive and 11,452 negative, Marathon has 753 positive and 17,193 negative and Taylor has 90 positive and 2,207 negative. Clark County has had 8 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 13 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 6 people die from the virus. Taylor has had 3 people die from the virus. Wood has had 2 people die from the virus. Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
