Coronavirus Numbers for August 24th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 1,115,149 negative cases, 70,462 positive cases (an increase of 453 over yesterday) and 1,081 deaths. Of the positive cases, 5,558, or 7%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 228 positive cases and 4,149 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 301 positive and 11,538 negative, Eau Claire has 722 positive and 17,056 negative and Jackson has 71 positive and 5,802 negative.
Also, Wood has 417 positive and 11,163 negative, Marathon has 731 positive and 16,576 negative and Taylor has 83 positive and 2,174 negative. Clark County has had 8 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 13 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 6 people die from the virus. Taylor has had 3 people die from the virus. Wood has had 2 people die from the virus. Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
