Coronavirus Numbers for August 19th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 1,075,397 negative cases, 66,830 positive cases (an increase of 634 over yesterday) and 1,052 deaths, an increase of 13 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 5,380, or 8%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 208 positive cases and 3,994 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 281 positive and 11,157 negative, Eau Claire has 673 positive and 16,375 negative and Jackson has 62 positive and 5,704 negative.
Also, Wood has 384 positive and 10,687 negative, Marathon has 705 positive and 15,898 negative and Taylor has 78 positive and 2,093 negative. Clark County has had 8 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 12 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 4 people die from the virus. Wood and Taylor have had 2 people die from the virus. Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
