Coronavirus Numbers for August 18th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 1,066,040 negative cases, 66,196 positive cases (an increase of 455 over yesterday) and 1,039 deaths. Of the positive cases, 5,327, or 8%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 206 positive cases and 3,977 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 279 positive and 11,094 negative, Eau Claire has 668 positive and 16,157 negative and Jackson has 62 positive and 5,680 negative.
Also, Wood has 381 positive and 10,595 negative, Marathon has 703 positive and 15,668 negative and Taylor has 78 positive and 2,078 negative. Clark County has had 8 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 12 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 4 people die from the virus. Wood and Taylor have had 2 people die from the virus. Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
