That crash occurred just after four o-clock yesterday afternoon at Highways H-and-V in the town of Lincoln. According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, a southbound S-U-V on Highway “V” driven by a 35-year-old Westby woman failed to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign to a westbound pickup truck on Highway “H”, driven by a 58-year-old Neillsville man. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Clark County man is in serious condition.

The names of those involved are being withheld pending the notification of relatives. The State Patrol is assisting with the investigation. The Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the town of Lincoln Fire Department and First Responders, and by Marshfield ambulance.
