Coronavirus Numbers for August 12th: Over 1,000 Wisconsin Lives Lost

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 1,014,277 negative cases, 61,785 positive cases (an increase of 724 over yesterday) and 1,006 deaths, an increase of 8 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 5,092, or 8%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 195 positive cases and 3,805 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 241 positive and 10,505 negative, Eau Claire has 596 positive and 15,314 negative and Jackson has 58 positive and 5,480 negative.
Also, Wood has 322 positive and 9,750 negative, Marathon has 662 positive and 14,268 negative and Taylor has 71 positive and 1,965 negative. Clark County has had 8 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 10 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 4 people die from the virus. Wood has had 2 people die from the virus. Jackson and Taylor have had one person die from the virus.
