Wood County Has 2nd Death Due to Coronavirus

-Wood County has recorded another death due to the coronavirus.This is the 2nd death in Wood County and the individual had underlying health conditions. For Clark County, we still have 7 people that have died from the virus. Marathon has seen several deaths over the past week and currently sits at 9. Eau Claire has had 4 people die from the virus. Taylor County recorded their first death this weekend. Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
Some have asked why more information isn’t released when an individual dies from the virus. Typically, health departments don’t release more information to give the family of the victim time to grieve and to give them the much needed privacy they deserve.
