Coronavirus Numbers for August 7th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 961,851 negative cases, 57,779 positive cases (an increase of 839 over yesterday) and 978 deaths, an increase of 8 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 4,881, or 8%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 187 positive cases and 3,637 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 218 positive and 10,151 negative, Eau Claire has 541 positive and 14,189 negative and Jackson has 52 positive and 5,242 negative.
Also, Wood has 268 positive and 9,261 negative, Marathon has 612 positive and 12,899 negative and Taylor has 61 positive and 1,792 negative. Clark County has had 7 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 8 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 4 people die from the virus. Jackson and Wood have had one person die from the virus.
