Coronavirus Numbers for August 6th

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 944,984 negative cases, 56,940 positive cases (an increase of 884 over yesterday) and 970 deaths, an increase of 9 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 4,826, or 8%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 181 positive cases and 3,601 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 213 positive and 10,063 negative, Eau Claire has 531 positive and 14,107 negative and Jackson has 50 positive and 5,207 negative.
Also, Wood has 263 positive and 9,155 negative, Marathon has 605 positive and 12,607 negative and Taylor has 59 positive and 1,770 negative. Clark County has had 7 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 7 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 4 people die from the virus. Jackson and Wood have had one person die from the virus.
