Neillsville City Council Talks Deed Restrictions and Fire Pits

Saturday, August 1st, 2020 -- 2:30 PM

The Neillsville City Council discussed a couple deed restrictions at their meeting on Tuesday.

The council accepted the recommendation to release deed restrictions on two City of Neillsville parcels, northeast corner of Court Street and E. Seventh Street and owned by Clark County, as they will be sold and go back on the City of Neillsville tax roll. The council also accepted the recommendation to accept the designs discussed for the future Prock Park, excluding the Dolly Madison verbiage and arch, plus adding operational dates to the plaque. The council also accepted the recommendation that Ratsch Engineering Company, Ltd bids be accepted for the cemetery building. The council also approved the new ordinance for outdoor fire pits. They had a discussion on the smoldering fires and smoke complaints being grounds for extinguishment and who would enforce it and the difference between digging a hole for “an in-ground” to “a secured ground” fire pit.

The council also approved the Security Health Contract renewal for 2020-2021. The Family Active Plan Premium is remaining the same at $1,961.17 per month. The Single Active Plan Premium is remaining the same at $905.56 per month. The current deductible is $3,000 to $6,000. The council also approved a $500 donation for the dog park and they discussed changing the parking permit fee and ordinance.
