Suspect Arrested in Case of Missing Marshfield Man

(Marshfield News Herald) -Wood County Sheriff's Department personnel spent most of Thursday looking for a Marshfield man who has been missing since June 13.Sheriff's deputies, working with Marshfield police and the state Division of Criminal Investigation, got a search warrant for property near County D and Patton Drive, in the town of Rock, Sheriff Shawn Becker said. The officers were trying to find Zach Vasa, 32, his clothing or other evidence of him being there, Becker said. The Sheriff's Department brought in dogs trained to find human remains, which they did at multiple locations, though officers did not find a body, the sheriff said. Officers arrested 34-year-old Jacob Immerfall on suspicion of hiding a corpse and multiple drug crimes, Becker said.
Immerfall did not cooperate with authorities and made Thursday's search more difficult, Becker said.
