Coronavirus Numbers for July 31st: Clark County Hits 170 Cases, State Sees Another Day of Over 1,000 New Cases

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 867,602 negative cases, 52,108 positive cases (an increase of 1,059 over yesterday) and 919 deaths, an increase of 8 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 4,590, or 8%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 170 positive cases and 3,426 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 203 positive and 9,665 negative, Eau Claire has 462 positive and 13,427 negative and Jackson has 45 positive and 4,955 negative.
Also, Wood has 204 positive and 8,449 negative, Marathon has 532 positive and 11,483 negative and Taylor has 44 positive and 1,643 negative. Clark County has had 7 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 5 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 3 people die from the virus. Jackson and Wood have had one person die from the virus.
