Wisconsin's June Egg Production

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Wisconsin egg production during June was 188 million eggs.That was one percent higher than the same time last year, but down four percent from this past May. According to the latest USDA Chickens and Eggs report, the average number of all layers on hand on Wisconsin farms was 7.77 million, up six percent from 2019 and two percent more from a month ago.
Eggs per 100 layers for June were 2,417, down five percent from both last year and last month. Nationally, egg production totaled 8.81 billion during June--down four percent from last year's figures. The average number of layers totaled 382 million, down three percent from June 2019.
