Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports at their meeting last week.The council heard the Police and Fire Commission reports from their meetings on June 25th and July 7th. These meetings dealt with the resignation of two Neillsville Police Officers and the hiring of new officers. The council then heard the Beautification Committee Report from their meeting on July 6th. They had a discussion on and forwarded to the Planning Commission a plan for Prock Park development to include a sign, flag pole, a large rock with two signs and an archway with future planting of flower trees and shrubs. They also had a commitment from Caroline O’Brien to donate $2,000 to the project.
They also heard the Commission on Economic Development Report from July 9th. This was the meeting that approved the list of Neillsville businesses that received the City of Neillsville COVID-19 Small Business Grants of $1,000 each. Finally, the council heard the Public Works report and the usual amount of work was done in the city and they
approved a few other items that were later approved by the Common Council.
