Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

Elementary Principal Joe Green provided an update on professional development opportunities for teachers including Seesaw for 4K-3 and Google Suite Training 4-12. Also, Summer School will be offered on a limited basis for elementary students the weeks of July 27 and August 3 and high school August 3 and August 10. Athletic Director/Dean of Students Jenny Mayenschein provided an update on fall sports and the purchase of equipment/resources to help mitigate concerns. Also, the Cloverbelt Conference is currently planning for a fall conference season while waiting for additional guidance from the WIAA.

District Administrator Todd Felhofer provided an update on the state budget and possible budget repair bill. He also spoke with Representative Jesse James on July 1st to discuss reopening schools and the impact of COVID-19 on schools. Supplemental compensation pay was dispensed last month and the average was $565 per teacher. Finally, he stated the reopening planning is ongoing and an update on the CARES money was provided to the board.
