Coronavirus Numbers for July 18th: State Passes 40,000 Cases, Clark County Passes 130

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 712,197 negative cases, 40,507 positive cases (an increase of 880 over yesterday) and 833 deaths, an increase of 2 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 4,031, or 10%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 132 positive cases and 2,930 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 151 positive and 8,317 negative, Eau Claire has 371 positive and 11,119 negative and Jackson has 37 positive and 4,354 negative.
Also, Wood has 124 positive and 6,790 negative, Marathon has 343 positive and 9,351 negative and Taylor has 29 positive and 1,338 negative. Clark County has had 7 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 2 people die from the virus. Jackson, Wood and Eau Claire have had one person die from the virus.
