Neillsville City Council Approves Recipients of COVID-19 Small Business Grant

-The Neillsville City Council approved the recipients of the City of Neillsville COVID-19 Small Business Grants at their meeting on Tuesday.The council approved $1,000 grants to The Brickyard Bar & Grill, Carl’s Barbershop, The Green Lantern, Strike Time Lanes, Rooster Bar & Grill, The Glass House, B & F Machine & Specialty, Cannabis Cultivators, Country Floral & Boutique, AKF Martial Arts Academy, Joan’s Hair Hut, King House, Buck’s Creekside, New Beginnings Holistic Healing and Tufts Mansion Bed & Breakfast. The council also accepted the resignation of Neillsville Police Officers Patrick Fehlman and Jason King and thanked them for their years of service. The council also approved a resolution stating they reviewed the Annual Compliance Maintenance Report from the Public Works Department.
The council also approved the Consulting Agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. in the amount of $4,200 for a sewer rate study. The council then approved moving the Tuesday, August 11th City Council meeting to Monday, August 17th, due to the election primary that falls on the date. Finally, the council approved accepting the loan funds of $360,000 to be used for a new building for the cemetery and parks department.
