Two Officers Resign From Neillsville Police Department

-The City of Neillsville has lost two of its police officers.

According to Neillsville Mayor Diane Murphy, the Neillsville Police and Fire Commission accepted the resignation of two city police officers at their July 7th meeting. Officer Jason King, with 5.5 years of service, and Officer Patrick Fehlman, with 3.5 years of service, have resigned from the Neillsville Police Department. Mayor Murphy stated, “As Mayor, I want to thank them for the time spent serving our community. I wish them and their families the best as they move on with their lives and careers.”

Chief of Police Jim Mankowski is in the process of training two new police officers, Hunter Imm and Isaac Guyer. Full time police officers Ben Zawislan, Brett Chwala and part-time officer Ben Kile will continue to serve the community. Chief Mankowski will fill the voids as the new police officers are trained. Mayor Murphy stated, “The city will remain well served as we move forward.”
