Man Arrested After High Speed Chase in Jackson Count Appears in Court

-One of two people arrested after a high speed chase in Jackson County appeared in Jackson County Court on Monday.According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, back in March, a vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 108 and Highway 71. When deputies tried to stop them, the vehicle fled, reaching speeds of 110mph. The pursuit stopped after spike strips were used. Davidde Hundt of La Crosse and Stacy Wateski from Onalaska were both arrested.
During his court appearance on Monday, Hundt was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, vehicle operator fleeing an officer. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 3 years of probation with a condition of one year jail time.
