Spencer Woman Enters Plea for Sexual Assault

-A Spencer woman has been sentenced for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy multiple times.According to court records, Linda Habhegger, said she would watch the boy from time to time and even considered herself a mother or aunt figure to the boy. Habhegger, who said she was sexually abused as a child, admitted to authorities she had sex with the boy multiple times at her home between July and September. She said she told the boy he wouldn’t get into trouble. She also told authorities that she didn’t think she did anything wrong.
Habhegger pleaded no contest to 2nd degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of 4th degree sexual assault of a child and disorderly conduct. The court has withheld sentencing and entry of guilt for 4 years to give her time to apply with all the conditions of the agreement established by the court. Should she fail, she’ll be sentenced to 3 years of probation and other items.
