City of Greenwood Still Holding 4th of July Softball Tournament and Fireworks

-The Greenwood City Council discussed the 4th of July softball tournament at their meeting last week.They discussed precautions that they were going to take during the 4th of July softball tournament. It was stated this is one of the largest ones but they are prepared to take the precautionary measures that the Clark County Health department has recommended to them. The council also discussed fireworks for the 4th of July and they did decide the city will still have them. However, they did decide to cancel the Concerts in the Park. The council also motioned to direct the city attorney to proceed to vacate the 16 ft alley that connects to Teschlers property and they approved to reimburse an officer $250 and award him 16 hours of PTO. The council also approved the MSA contract.
The council also approved a 2-year contract with TimeClock Plus for $1024. They also had a discussion on open intoxicants on ATVs/UTVs. The city attorney will draft a copy of the ordinance for the July 1st Council meeting. Finally, a discussion was had on Lot 1 of Depot St. The council decided to not grant an extension to Pabich to build on the lot and directed the city attorney to write a letter of noncompliance of zoning. If Pabich is not in compliance, the lot shall revert back to the City.
