Granton School Board Approves Several Items in Preparation for the Next School Year

-The Granton School Board approved several items in preparation for the next school year at their meeting last week.The board approved the Chapter 9 School Board Policies related to Instruction, approved the Open Enrollment Applications for the 2020-2021 School Year, approved the Shared Services Contract with the Marshfield School District for the 2020-2021 School Year and approved to continue the CEP Food Service Program for the 2020-2021 School Year. The board also approved the insurance quote from Security Health Plan for the 2020-2021 School Year, approved the Graduation Ceremony for July 25th at 11:00 at the Granton Village Park and approved the summer school and swim lesson dates for August 10-14. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports.
Superintendent Scott Woodington reported that the library board selected Cheryl Steinbach to replace John Richmond on the board. Also, Gross Motors provided quotes for new and used vans to replace the red minivan. He also stated there will not be any unusual expenditures at the end of the year therefore there will not be a need for a special meeting. Finally, he stated the Granton Area School District will receive approximately $227,000 in CARES funding. Mr. Kaczor will provide more information on that in the coming months.
