We have a COVID-19 update for you this afternoon.
Taking a look at the updated state numbers, the state has 423,736 negative tests, 23,454 positive cases (an increase of 256 over yesterday) and 712 deaths, an increase of 9 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 3,128, or 13%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 53 positive cases and 1,719 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 63 positive and 3,944 negative, Eau Claire has 140 positive and 6,603 negative, Jackson has 22 positive and 1,888 negative, Wood has 25 positive and 3,433 negative, Marathon has 88 positive and 5,176 negative and Taylor has 5 positive cases and 791 negative. Clark County has had 4 people die from the coronavirus. Marathon, Jackson and Wood Counties have had one person die due to the coronavirus.
