Granton Village Board Hears Water Report and More

Monday, June 15th, 2020 -- 8:45 AM

-The Granton Village Board heard the Water Report at their meeting last week.

According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, Lane Tank provided a quote for the 2021 tower inspection for $1,250. The board reviewed and approved the quote. Some time was spent at the school researching wet floors in the boiler room. There are a number of natural springs and the water running into the boiler room appears to be caused by this. The board also heard the Waste Water Report. They worked on the CMAR Report, cleaned out the lift station basket, set up the campground and met with the health inspector. They had to remove two slides and the swinging horses at the park.

Also, the concrete was removed in front of the Hitch n Rail so the sidewalk could be repaired, they filled in pot holes and placed the memorial bench for Opelt’s at the park. The board also heard the Clerk’s Report. A DNR Recycling Grant was awarded for $1,334.19 and $86.32 for a consolidation award. They also issued a few building permits. Finally, the board heard the Treasurer’s Report. The Deposit and Expense report was presented. The Checking balance is $121,907.41, the Money Market balance is $528,405.01, the Cemetery CD is $16,927.29, the CDBG balance is $32,175.22, and the Library balance is $38,405.25.
