COVID-19 Pandemic Update for the Afternoon of May 29th: Over 700 New Cases Reported

We have a COVID-19 update for you this afternoon.
Taking a look at the updated state numbers, the state has 233,588 negative tests, 17,707 positive cases (an increase of 733 over yesterday) and 568 deaths, an increase of 18 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 2,499, or 14%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 32 positive cases and 884 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 55 positive and 2,613 negative, Eau Claire has 107 positive and 4,446 negative, Jackson has 16 positive and 1,084 negative, Wood has 10 positive and 1,786 negative, Marathon has 46 positive and 2,685 negative and Taylor has 2 positive cases and 394 negative. Clark County has had 4 people die from the coronavirus. Marathon, Jackson and Wood Counties have had one person die due to the coronavirus.
