Thursday, May 21st, 2020 -- 9:52 AM

-One of two Marshfield teens facing charges for bomb threats made at the Marshfield High School appeared in Wood County Court on Wednesday.

Back on December 9th of last year, administration at the Marshfield High School was told about a bomb threat on a bathroom stall by Alyssa Portz. Similar threats were written in bathrooms throughout the high school. After questioning, Portz admitted to authorities that she and Simone Rootellis wrote the threats to get out of class.

During her court appearance on Wednesday, Portz entered a guilty plea to three misdemeanor charges of intentionally giving false alarm. Rootellis is scheduled to appear in court again on June 19th. She’s facing a charge of making terrorist threats.
