Neillsville School Board Approves Waiver of Instructional Minutes

-The Neillsville School Board approved the Waiver of Instructional Minutes for the 2019-2020 school year.Due to the coronavirus outbreak, many school districts had to apply to have the amount of instructional hours for the district waived as the closure severely limited the time to meet that requirement. The board approved postponing summer school until August 3rd and setting a Driver’s Education fee of $50 for the online class plus $175 for behind-the-wheel instruction per student. The board also approved the membership for the Association for Equity in Funding for 2020-2021 and approved the agreement with Schools Cubed for the literacy initiative as presented. They also approved the membership to WIAA for 2020-2021 and approved the bid from Staley Plumbing for the elementary bathroom remodeling project for an amount not to exceed $20,520.
The board also approved the bid from Goetz Excavating for the bus garage driveway project for an amount not to exceed $51,880. The board approved several out-of-state field trips including the FFA to Indianapolis in October of 2020, the FFA to St. Paul in January of 2021 and the FFA to Washington D.C. in June of 2021. The board also approved a couple of donations including the donation of air time from WCCN and the donation of $500.00 from Chris Keller to help with student meal delivery costs.
