Updated Coronavirus Cases for May 17th

We have a COVID-19 update for you this afternoon.
Taking a look at the updated state numbers, the state has 139,674 negative tests, 12,543 positive cases (an increase of 356 over yesterday) and 453 deaths, an increase of 8 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 2,038, or 16%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 28 positive and 553 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 39 positive and 1,769 negative, Eau Claire has 66 positive and 3,432 negative, Jackson has 15 positive and 676 negative, Wood has 6 positive and 1,225 negative, Marathon has 33 positive and 1,541 negative and Taylor still has no positive cases and 229 negative. Clark County has had 4 people die from the coronavirus. Marathon and Jackson Counties have had one person die due to the coronavirus.
