Updated Coronavirus Cases for May 16th

We have a COVID-19 update for you this afternoon.
Taking a look at the updated state numbers, the state has 134,206 negative tests, 12,187 positive cases (an increase of 502 over yesterday) and 453 deaths, an increase of 8 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 1,977, or 17%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 26 positive and 457 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 39 positive and 1,670 negative, Eau Claire has 65 positive and 3,353 negative, Jackson has 15 positive and 638 negative, Wood has 6 positive and 1,184 negative, Marathon has 32 positive and 1,476 negative and Taylor still has no positive cases and 206 negative. Clark County has had 4 people die from the coronavirus. Marathon and Jackson Counties have had one person die due to the coronavirus.
