Look for the Helpers: Main Street Marshfield

-“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”Those are the inspiring words to Mr. Rogers from his mother, so we’re going to try and find the helpers. Today, we look at Main Street Marshfield. Main Street Marshfield has been promoting small businesses in downtown Marshfield. They also introduced “Shop Local. Love Local,” a fundraiser and shopping movement in support of local businesses. Main Street Marshfield is offering locally-designed shirts and lawn signs to raise money for local small business development. Each sign features a message encouraging support for small businesses while “acknowledging the sacrifices being made for our safety.” From the proceeds, 75 percent of the income from this fundraiser will be used to provide services to local businesses impacted by COVID-19. The other 25 percent will be invested in Main Street Marshfield’s nonprofit mission to strengthen and energize historic Downtown Marshfield. They’ve also partnered with other organizations in Marshfield to help city businesses.
This may be a stressful situation for everyone, but we will get through this. Let's all work together and help each other along as we take the current situation day-by-day.
