-The Granton School Board approved some policies at their meeting on Monday.

The board approved the Chapter 7 School Board Policies related to Personnel. The board also approved the Instructional Hours Waiver for the 2019-2020 school year and approved Board Member Dennis Kuehn as the district representative to the CESA Annual Convention. The board also approved the Grading Modifications for the 4th Quarter E-Term for the 2019-2020 school year and the board approved the Graduation Modifications for the Senior Class of 2020. Finally, the board approved the resignation of Devin Damerell effective at the end of the school year. The board then heard the Administrators’ Reports. Principal Amanda Kraus updated the board on the E-Term using the Virtual Grading Policy, that May 11th was the last day for new work and May 29th is the last day of classes and all materials will be turned in.

For sports, she stated that baseball will continue the Cloverbelt Conference Schedule next. Finally for graduation, she stated they’re doing Senior Daily Shout Outs on Facebook and Seniors will receive recognition online the day of original graduation. Superintendent Scott Woodington provided an update on the insurance quote. WEA sent back that they will not submit a quote because they will not have a competitive bid. The district is still waiting for additional bids. For Summer School, the DPI is providing flexibility with the summer school regulations to allow virtual classes for all grades K-12 with more information to come. Finally, he stated that Staff Appreciation is scheduled for June 1st.
