National FFA Organization Awarding More Than $2 Million in College Scholarships

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The National FFA Organization is awarding more than $2 million in college scholarships to over 1,300 students this spring.The agriculture education group says 42 Wisconsin FFA members were among the recipients of the scholarship program, which is available to students pursuing two-year or four-year degrees or vocational programs. Some local winners of the scholarship include Jillian Tyler of Granton, Kayla Johnson of Granton, Kaitlin Thoma of Neillsville, Cortney Zimmerman of Spencer and Daniel Clark of Spencer.
This year marks the 36th year for the scholarship program, which began in 1984 with just 16 scholarships offered. Since then, more than $47 million has been awarded in scholarship funds through the National FFA Organization.
